The Queensland JAM Factory – Performing Arts Centre began in 1995 as Dance Nation school of Funk & Hip Hop. In 2003 the Queensland JAM Factory opened its new doors to become the largest dance studios in Queensland with 1200 m2 of dance space, 22 teachers and 450 students of which 117 were boys.
Mid year 2006 the school was temporarily closed due to family illness and re-opened in a smaller dance space to rebuild. Qjam is now located at level 1, 299 Ruthven St., Toowoomba.
Today the Queensland JAM Factory, ‘The Hip Hop Specialist!’ is rebuilding. Students are catered for with classes ranging from beginner to professional and 3yrs to adults. Recently Qjam teachers and dancers returned from training in Los Angeles, with tuition in all styles of hip hop and dance, from the biggest names in the international commercial dance industry, such as Brian Friedman, Andre Fuentes and Tabitha & Napoleon. It is where dancers find long term work and success.
Qjam host international and national workshops from touring dancers. We host competitions and eisteddfods. Qjam have performance teams which provides a platform from which dancers gain performance experience.
Our main aim however is for our clients to feel safe, uplifted from class, motivated, inspired and enriched. This makes for happy people who begin to succeed in everything they do. We are interested in building strong people who love dance, are full of confidence and feel they can take on the world. Please take a tour of the website, it is updated regularly.
